Cartoon Summary:

Sealab 2020 is a high-tech underwater laboratory that housed over 250 men, women, and children. The oceanographers, led by Dr. Paul Williams, were on a mission to protect both their lab and the ocean from harm. Assisting Paul were his crew of "oceanauts": Hal, Gail, Ed, and radio dispatcher Sparks.

Also on board the Sealab were silver-haired Captain Mike Murphy and his children, Bobby and Sally, all of whom were rescued by Sealab when their boat sank topside. The cute pet quotient was filled by Murphy's pet sea turtles and a dolphin named Tuffy
