Cartoon Summary:

After enduring a long, snow-filled winter, siblings Shiro and Kanko can finally go out and play in the forest! They discover a snowman made by fox cubs and, despite warnings that the foxes are mischievous and cunning, decide that they would like to meet the foxes for themselves. Shiro and Kanko call for the foxes and meet Konzaburo, the White Fox. After a friendly exchange, Shiro and Kanko are still a bit hesitant to accept the dumplings that Konzaburo offers them. They do, however, accept tickets to the fox school's Magic Lantern Show. They return to the forest on the next full moon for the Magic Lantern Show and are warmly greeted by the fox cubs. The show commences, and Konzaburo uses tales of human encounters with foxes to teach that the more you understand about someone else, the easier it is not to be scared of him or her. Shiro and Kanko discover that the stories they heard about foxes were based on misunderstandings, and they reaffirm their friendship with the foxes by enjoying their dumplings. Shiro and Kanko thank Konzaburo for his hospitality and return home.
