Cartoon Comments:

Hells Heels 5 out of 5 stars

Reviewed by: Pietro, September 07, 2012

In this wonderfully zany, early Walter Lantz short (a loose spoof of the 1930 Universal feature "Hell's Heroes"), Oswald is a fugitive on the run with the unenviable task of returning an abandoned child to his father (who also happens to be the local sheriff). Wild, rubber-hose Bill Nolan animation topped off with bawdy New York-style humor, a 1920s-era jazz score by James Dietrich (no relation to Marlene!), and abstract George Herriman-esque backgrounds make this one a must-see!
