Pay Day 6 out of 5 stars

Reviewed by: Ray Pointer, November 25, 2001

Max is counting out the payroll and places it in a small safe. Max has drawn the clown as a newsreel cameraman. Dave is hanging around pretending to be dusting a bust on a pedetal as he watched Max with the money. Dave puts on a burgler's mask, and climbs through the window about to hold up Max. The light go off, and the silouhette of struggle appears only to be revealed s Max tangled up with a coat on a clothes tree as the lights come on. But the mystery is, who was the bandit? As it turns out, the clown had captured the whole ting on film, and projects the film showing Dave putting on the mask. In an unusual turn for the format, the clown does a good deed and helps Max. Not only is this short entertaining, it cleverly integrates the live action footage that apears to be projected by the cartoon projector.
