Cartoon Comments:

Fishing 6 out of 5 stars

Reviewed by: Ray Pointer, November 25, 2001

Max and Doc Crandal are going fishing. The clown is anxous for Max to finish him before he leaves. The clown want to go with them, but Max draws a fising line and hole, stating, "You'll do your fishing right here." The clown's fishing hole turns from one nightmarish halicination to another. Thinking that Max had doped the ink, the clown sets out to find him. The clown swims under water, reaching Max's row boat anchored off a tiny island. Then tying a string to the boat, the clown hauls it away, leaving Max and Crandal to swim for shore. Finding the clown's cap in the water, they know who is responsible. Once back at the house, they see the clown riding on a goldfish in an aquarium in the front window. Max grabs for the clown, and being an ink creature, the clown dissolves into a liquid and runs off Max's hand and back into the ink bottle. Once again, elaborate uses of process shots combining cartoon animation with live action motion. Very entertaining.
