Cartoon Comments:

The Clown's Little Brother 6 out of 5 stars

Reviewed by: Ray Pointer, November 25, 2001

Max recieves a parcel from the Mailman, played by Dave Fleischer. The parcel is a kitten with a note wrapped around its tummy. It's a letter for the clown. He opens it, and out comes the clown's pugnacious little brother. This time, the clown is trying to contain the mischief instead of cause it, and welcomes submitting his brother to the inkwell to end the chaios. This cartoon relies less on rotorscoping with the little brother animated from imagination. There is a cleaver use of clown animation combined with the kitten, as he is seen riding it like a bronco. There is also more of a percentage of animation here than in the earlier films, which were 1/3 animation and 2/3 live action.
