Cartoon Production Information:

The contents of the film are not too important. At the time that it was created, the picture represented a revolt against the monopoly of the Disney style of cartoons. Director-designer Jiri Trnka was a revolutionary who, by ignoring the Disney rules, created new rules which showed hundreds of animators that animated pictures do offer numerous methods of expression.

Traditional, Hand-drawn Animation.
