Silent film.

Lightning cartoon.

This series was the first attempt at animation by George Ernest Studdy, a popular press cartoonist who had worked in comic strips ("Professor Helpemon" in The Big Budget). Study later would create the popular dog "Bonzo" and bring him to the screen in full animation.
