Cartoon Production Information:

Songs: "Tell It To A Turtle" (Turtle), "Delilah" (Smokey), "All Together" (Forest Animals), "Curiosity" (Turtle), "Anyone Can Move A Mountain" (Turtle).

James Cagney's interest in wildlife preservation was one reason that his vocal talent was obtained by Rankin/Bass. The producers secured a letter from President Lyndon Johnson asking Cagney to voice the cartoon.

Rankin/Bass expanded the theme of this special into The Smokey Bear Show.
