Cartoon Production Information:

Gene Kelly spent many years trying to create an all-dance film, with no dialogue. He finally persuaded MGM, his home studio, to do the project.

The movie was filmed and produced in 1952. However, bad previews scared off MGM executives, who kept it on the shelf until 1957. Even then, it was screened only on the art-house circuit.

Live-Action Film with Animated Sequence(s).
