Cartoon Production Information:

This was an episode of Walt Disney Presents TV anthology that aired originally in 1959. It is a live action Black & White film shot silently with music and narration, and perhaps some dubbed dialog. Filming locations included Reno NV, Donner Pass (Nevada County) CA, San Francisco, CA and other locations between Reno and San Francisco. This episode weaves together newsreel footage of several different storms to represent one huge and dangerous "big wind." The cast is comprised of "real" people, among them dam superintendent George Kritsky, telephone lineman Walt Bowen, and highway superintendent Leo Quinn.

Traditional, Hand-drawn Animation.
