Cartoon Production Information:

First shown at the Annecy Film Festival; the U.S. premiere was July 24, 2000 at the Siggraph Conference. General release was attached to PIXAR Films Monsters, Inc. on November 2, 2001.

This short featured hand-painted backgrounds rather than computer created ones.

If you look close, you will see a boat in Finding Nemo named "For the Birds."

The small birds on the power line make a repeat appearance in the movie Cars.

This story is a sleeper.
Little birds gathering territorially on a telephone-pole line, adjusting their positions as each new one arrives.
Suddendly a big crow-like bird flaps in and takes a space, forcing the little ones to move more)
