Cartoon Production Information:

Many of the surreal characters are obviously inspired by the work of Salvador Dali.

The Three Stooges are caricatured. An Al Jolson caricature says, "Mammy, Mammy, my Mammy, no one else's."

This cartoon was remade in 1949 (in color) as "Dough For The Do-Do."

On December 27, 2000, Librarian of Congress James H. Billington announced that "Porky In Wackyland" was one of 25 "culturally, historically or aesthetically" significant motion pictures that he selected to be added to the National Film Registry.
