Cartoon Production Information:

The first cartoon in which Chilly Willy speaks. He sang in his first cartoon Chilly Willy, and the singing voice was provided by Sara Berner.

It might be the person who provided the synopsis posted on the web site saw an uncensored version of this cartoon. The version in my collection is from the Woody Woodpecker and Friends Vol2 boxed set. There are no initial scenes in which Smedley demonstrates his flapjack flipping abilities. Instead Chilly is first seen trying to earn money as a shoe shine boy. He then spots some signs which lead him to Smedley's place. The next part of the posted story line matches but near the end after Smedley had served the stove lids to the lumberjack which provokes a fight, Chilly dons a police disguise and runs off the lumberjack. Smedley is so grateful he rewards Chilly with all the flapjacks he can eat. Chilly's mother and the scenes with her described in the posted synopsis never appear.

Traditional, Hand-drawn Animation.
