Cartoon Production Information:
Although Woodstock isn't in this show, Snoopy arm-wrestles with a yellow bird (a sort of "proto-Woodstock").
When Snoopy pretends to drive the bus, all the towns on the map in the background are named after people involved in the production. There's Schulz City (Charles M. Schulz- author), Cuidad de Melendez (Bill Melendez- director), Leesville (Lee Mendelson- producer), Gruyerberg (Bernard Gruyer- graphic blandishment), and Levittown (Ed Levitt- graphic blandishment).
Also in the background while Snoopy pretends to drive the bus, all the figures, including a milk truck driver, motorcyclist, a goat, and an eagle, have heads like Snoopy!
Lucy's wrist-wrestling match with the Masked Marvel, and its finale, come from newspaper strips dated February 6-15, 1967; these were reprinted in the book "You'll Flip, Charlie Brown." According to the book HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHARLIE BROWN, Charles Schulz thinks the arm-wrestling showdown between Lucy and the Masked Marvel in this show is "the best animated scene of all the shows."
Pamelyn Ferdin begins her 2-year run as the voice of Lucy Van Pelt.
Linus and Schroeder's shirts switch colors as they and the girls sing "It's A Long Way To Tipperary." That song makes its second (of three) appearance in an animated Peanuts project. Schroeder can be seen playing the tune in the prior It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown and later on in Snoopy Come Home.
