Cartoon Production Information:

This was Warner Bros.' first theatrical cartoon in nearly two decades. This was the first new cartoon released by the "new" WB animation studio, which reopened for a third time.

Mel Blanc's last voice credit. He passed away in 1989.

The classic Looney Tunes theme used from 1946 and 1955 is re-used and the closing Looney Tunes theme music from 1955 and 1964 is re-used.

This cartoon was part of a short-lived Looney Tunes "revival" spearheaded by Greg Ford and Terry Lennon, two animation buffs who exhaustively researched the Warner Bros. cartoon legacy in the '70s and then found themselves in the happy circumstances of being able to create some Looney Tunes of their own.

The Duxorcist made the news as the first new Looney Tunes short in 20 years. It's not quite a classic but certainly worthy, as Daffy in his element- winning over a limited-intellect blonde, sloping around like Groucho Marx- poses as a paranormalist trying to rid an apartment of some possessive ghosts.

This cartoon can be found in its entirety on the compilation videocassette Bugs Bunny's Halloween Hijinks, and nearly complete (minus credits) as part of the Ford-Lennon compilation theatrical film Daffy Duck's Quackbusters. It's well worth seeking out.
