Cartoon Production Information:

This cartoon reportedly features the longest fall in the history of film (almost a minute). Originally, Avery had Bugs and Willoughby fall through the hole, down the cliff, and through a final hole. Leon Schlesinger was opposed to his new star Bugs dying, and ordered the final 40 feet cut. (According to the British Film Institute, the original ending of the film is said to have been cut short to a sudden stop "due to its similarity to a then-current dirty joke.")

In any case, Avery objected to the cut, which caused a rift. Avery was suspended, and eventually fired.

Traditional, Hand-drawn Animation.
