Cartoon Production Information:

Based on science fiction author Philip K. Dick's 1953 short story fantasy "The King of the Elves". Dick is best known for writing the short stories that Blade Runner [Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?] and Total Recall [We Can Dream It For You Wholesale] were based on.

The original film, being directed by Aaron Blaise and Robert Walker, was reportedly shelved in early production in 2009. In July of the following year, the film was put back into development with Chris Williams at the helm for a 2012 release. At one point, it was in competition with Frozen for the Disney 2013 release date.

Production then stalled due to story problems. Chris Williams left the project and the film stalled.

There are currently some rumors that the film is back on and slated for a November 27, 2019 release.

3D CG Animation.
