It is a superb love story, where we can both learn a lot about Japan, and not only on Tokyo !!
A lot of countryside scenes, a lot of emotion.
Some scenes are so beautiful you could even ask your self if it is not filmed, but it always keep (and that's what I appreciate) a small 'something' which reminds you it has been drawn and it is not only depicted reality.
Definitively, a great moment of love and pleasure.

So beautiful, but so sad :-((

Superb story and unfortunately so realistic.
"Show must go on" could also be another title for this cartoon which depicts so well the final days of two children (brother and daughter), which parents died during a bombing in japan. During this, they loose their mother, seriously burned. They will now travel to try to find back their father and for that they will findout own selfish and cruel adults can be when their poor existence can be improved be fooling two young children.
My daughter's comment was : 'Dad, it is so beautiful, but why has it have to be so sad ?'
Anyhow, as always, superb scenes, expressive characters, realistic situations ... perfection.
Seeing this one, you can understand why Disney choosed to distribute them.
