Before "The Aristocats," there was this cartoon, which basically told the same story as the Disney classic, and may have inspired it. Of course, there was only one cat, but she was able to hold her own against the butler. I'd see this one again if I could.

Have to say it, that this cartoon featured one of the poorest role models I have ever seen. He spends all his waking hours glued to the tube. Clearly, he has no job, and never gets any exercise. Kids may get the wrong message that it's ok to be a couch potato, and not do anything else.

Having seen many animated versions of Robin Hood, I have to say that this version stands out like a sore thumb. It doesn't matter that all the characters are animals, or that certain new characters were created for this movie. It tells a good story, and that's what's important. Those who put it down, or ignore it don't know a winner when they see one. I saw this a week ago on Toon Disney, and am very glad they decided to show it.
