Heheh. Great lil' movie, this one. It's about an artist played by Brendan Fraser who develops a nutty character named Monkey Bone. Coma - Downtown - funny goings on - buddy stuff - Great characters in Henson style - good story with good comedy and great feeling. I won't give it all away. Go pick this movie up sometime. It's worth the watch.

Dragon Tales 6 out of 5 stars

Reviewed by: Scott LePew, February 14, 2002

This is a 30 minute cartoon aimed at a fairly young audience (likely about 4 or 5 and up). The premise is that two young children (boy & girl) find a special artifact that allows them to travel to a different world. There, among other odd things, live two friendly dragon whelps who befriend the human children. The story is basically epistolic (<--episodic), though there are some instances wherein a point will be carried over between shows. This cartoon is a good one for young children to watch as a source of entertainment with good undertones, and acceptable for older viewers if they simply feel like watching a cartoon without much point. It's a nice distraction, and somewhat uplifting, as corny as it can be. Overall, not such a bad show.

Goodness gracious. If you haven't seen this move, do so - right now! Drop what you're doing and pick up the DVD and watch it. This is easily one of the few best...no - it is *the* best animated film ever made. The voice acting is superb, the music is an orchestral fantasy, the animation is dazzling and gorgeous, and the writing and plot are engrossing and heartfelt. There is no excuse for anyone to have not seen this movie at some point. ...And anyone who mentions Disney in the same breath as NIMH has to go stand in the corner, because they weren't related in the least, and that fool doesn't deserve the honor.
