Cartoon Comments:

Riddler's Reform 10 out of 5 stars

The Riddler returns to form in what si probably the seaosn's best episode. And what he confronts is not just the batman -- it is himself. In this story, the Riddler's pride and hurbis becomes a palpable force that he is sane enough to recognize that it will destroy him.

This self-awareness is what makes the Riddler so special in the Batman rogue's gallery. He will not formulate a plan that "makes sense only to himself". And he recongizes that it is his ego that is compelling him to do things that threaten the prosperity he has won for himself and ruin everything he has built. This story is, more than anything else, the Riddler's tragedy, and nowhere is that clearer than in the superb ending.

Overall, a superb episode.
