Cartoon Comments:

Apprentice, Part Two 10 out of 5 stars

The conclsuion of probably the best episode of Teen Titans, this episode lives up to the episode that preceded it and then some. Forced to the dark side, and the bewildered team caught in the middle, Robin is faced with an impossible moral dilemma.

there are several factors that make this episode the classic it has become. Ron Perlman's voice work as Slade is superb, complteing the picutre of a superemely confident adversary who is blood-chilling in his utter calm. The writing is tight and sparse, with the writers choosing their words well. The set-piece battle on the roof of Wayne Enterprises is both spectacular and illumianting. And Robin's final solution to his problem indicates the risks he is willing to take, and the price he is willing to pay, for loyalty.

The potential of the series is fully realized with this episode.
