Thank you for contacting the Big Cartoon DataBase. We try hard to get the right information online here, but mistakes and omissions do creep in. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know about any that you notice. Nothing is too small--- if it is wrong, we want to fix it!

As we see it, there are four reasons people want to contact us. See below for the various different ways we accept this information through our site.

Errors In A Cartoon Already In The DataBase

If you notice something amiss in a cartoon listed on the DataBase now- a misspelling, an incomplete or missing credit, layout problem, whatever- we want to know! We have made it very easy to let us know about this sort of problem, too. On any cartoon page, below the links to Vote and Rate the cartoon, there is a link that is called, "Report Errors On This Page". Simply click on that link (which will gather the appropriate information on that cartoon for inclusion in the e-mail), and submit! You can include your e-mail- we will either let you know we made the change, or ask for more information- or submit anonymously; your e-mail address is NOT required. In any case, thanks for letting us know!

A Cartoon Not In The DataBase

We do not even pretend to have every cartoon ever made in this DataBase... the more we add, the more we find we need to add. Sometimes it seems like we will never be done. But if you know of a cartoon that has not yet made it in, and you think that cartoon should be in now, please let us know! Here is how:

First, go to the studio that produced the cartoon. Drill down within that studio's listing to the appropriate series, if it is there... if there is no appropriate series, just stay in the studio's main page. (If we do not have the appropriate studio at all, please submit in Other Studios. Please remember to place a note in the Production Notes field as to which studio or series needs to be added to the DataBase for the cartoon, too!) No matter where you are, you will see a link titled "Add a Cartoon" in the left menu- click there! You will need to be a registered user to do this! (If you are not a registered user, you can easily register here. Any personal information you submit does remain confidential. While your User Name will be posted with your submission, you can choose whether your e-mail is shown or not online.) Simply fill in the form and submit- we will have your cartoon online in no time!

Please note, a bit of information is required to get your submission online. You must be a registered user to submit a cartoon. That is so we can contact you if we have any questions. Also, an accurate release date (at least the year!) for the cartoon is required before we can put a cartoon online. Obviously, the more (and more complete) information you submit, the better. And, as always, thank you! We are happy to give you credit online for your submission. If you have a web site, we are happy to provide a link to it, too!

A Cartoon Series Not In The DataBase

This is pretty similar to the above... just more involved. Especially if you have all the cartoons in a series. Again, go to the studio that produced the cartoon. Drill down if you need to into an appropriate sub-category, or just stay in the studio's main page. (If we do not have the appropriate studio at all, please submit in Other Studios. Please place a note in the Production Notes field as to which studio or series needs to be added to the DataBase for the cartoon, too!) Where ever you are, you will see a link titled "Add a Cartoon" in the left menu- click there! You will need to be a registered user to do this! (If you are not a registered user, you can easily register here. Any information you submit does remain confidential. While your User Name will be posted with your submission, you can choose whether your e-mail is shown or not online.) Now we have a choice.... you can either type each and every cartoon in a series in, submitting one at a time... or submit one cartoon and leave us a note in the comments box telling us you have more. We will then contact you back, and you can submit the rest via e-mail. We can accept a variety of formats- Text, Excel, Word, Access, WordPerfect, AmiPro, Lotus, whatever!
