This is the second El Kabong cartoon and writer Mike Maltese brings back a lot of the elements he tossed in the first one. Quick Draw changes into the wrong costume, he sings off-key, there's a sword fight (with multiple swords sprouting up for no reason), and rhyming narration. Maltese tosses in some funny off-beat gags, like two miners exchanging $10 bills so they can pass off their debts to each other. Background artist Joe Montell, who worked briefly for Tex Avery at MGM, goes for browns and reddish-browns.
Carlo Vinci is the animator. He was known for dancing girls (usually female mice) while at Terrytoons, and animates an attractively-drawn senorita, designed by Walt Clinton, another Avery MGM alumnus.
This is one of several Quick Draw cartoons in the 1969-60 season that didn't draw entirely on stock music. One of Hoyt Curtin's versions of the Quick Draw theme, used as an underscore in the bumpers between cartoons, makes an appearance.
