Sharper Moments of Dialogue In This One
When a maid says she saw Charlie Chan leaving a hotel room where a crime was committed, Henry and Stanley are her unwitting alibis.Aside from the fact that all the other kids can verify that Dad was on the beach with them, at least the authorities weren't over-eager to arrest Chan.
But once again, it is Flip who whispers to his dad "we'll have the car at the side, the motor running and we'll ditch the flatfoot."
As some of the other kids complain about Charlie being taken away, Chan tells the officer "we had better leave before this mob grows even more unruly."
Keye Luke delivered all his lines in an impressive manner and doesn't fail.
Alan, Tom and Susie have next to nothing to do in this episode, and there are no songs here either.
In the end, Flip gets the final joke. Was he becoming the standout in the cartoon?
ONe of the better Chan Clan episodes.
The changing car gimmick was unnecessary tho.
