One of the CREAM of the McKimson barnyard comedies. Clem's three brothers--who harmonize so well (did Mel Blanc do some double-voice-tracking for this??)--really steal the show.

This is one of my all time favorites. I actually came to this site for thesole purpose of finding out the name of this cartoon. A careless mother turtle allows one of her eggs to escape only partly hatched. While the poor baby turtle, named Clem, gets booted around the farm, his siblings believe that he just was buried too deeply in the nest. They begin a massive excavation project to save "brother clem". They sing many little ditties while working "We are looking for our bro-ther" (to the tune of "I've been woerkin' on the railroad") and "Brother Clem, Brother Clem, Brother Clem". I only ever saw this one once, about 10 or 12 years ago, but it is still in my head enough to get me looking on this website for its name and details. Sadly, I watched Merrie Melodies during my entire childhood, and only saw this one once. So you odds of seeing, given how little airplay they get these days, are very bad. Good luck!
