This episode, Attitude of Grattitude, originally aired in syndication on May 14, 1985. Fat Albert gets a job at the local zoo taking care of Marvin the elephant. He has no trouble keeping the job and keeping up with his schoolwork. Then his mother has to leave home for a week, leaving Fat Albert additional tasks. But the gang helps Fat Albert out with his household chores. At the end, he realizes how special his mother is when she was away.
This episode was truly the end of an era. One of the greatest cartoons ended with this show. At the end of the show, Cosby says "Bye now. See you soon". He must have know this was the end of the series.
The Adventures of Fat Albert faced too much competition in the syndicated market. But as the show ended, Bill Cosby was enjoying a greater success, The Cosby Show.
