If "Ninotchka" was the film where Garbo smiled, "Hotsy Footsy" is the film where Magoo dances. Very well in fact, so he can be forgiven for mangling the title song. Much of the plot involves Magoo trying to find his luck-of-the-draw partner for the Rutgers Reunion dance contest, but Frances doesn't want anything to do with Magoo. So he ends up with wrestler Francis the Terrible at the arena next door. Why not? Frances and Francis are the same size and bulk! Plenty of smiles along the way, prompting me to agree wholeheartedly with the inebriated classmate (and Frances's husband) in toasting "Good Old Magoo."
