This cartoon has been precious to our family since it first aired on TV. We have enjoyed it for years via a taped VHS. I just shared with my 26-year-old son that the tape was lost this summer when the basement flooded, and he is devastated. He and his wife had my first grandchild two months ago, and the VHS tape was requested for copying. Now I am searching the web to buy one. Based on the prices I see, I'm not the only one who thinks this is one of the best Christmas-message cartoons ever made. The characters are cute, have current-day relevance for how kids treat each other, and the songs will become a fixture in your memory - especially "Down From the Mountain." If you are a believer, you will love this story - but please wait until I find a good online deal before you buy it.

I LOVE this movie My husband got it for our kids when they were little and now my 3 year old grandson wants to watch it every time he comes over it is now His favorite movie!! I wish I could find a copy of it on DVD I'm worried that my VHS is going to die on me :(
