The episode starts with David explaining how gnomes make pottery. Then he meets his friend who tells him there is a deer with a wire caught around its neck. David cuts the wire off the deer's neck, but he also learns his fox friend Swift is sick. He was given poison by the trolls. David treats Swift, then he goes to visit Gustov, the king of the elves. Gustov sends down some small fairies to teach the trolls a lesson.
