A Great Spoof!

This is a great episode in the classic Simpsons sense of spoofing anything worth spoofing. In this case, they spoof "The Music Man" where a travelling con man sells something the town could really do without but convinces them they need it, and so the town agrees to buy, but are bamboozled at the last second. The salesman has already skipped town long after they discover it. The late great Phil Hartman did the voice of the salesman, Lyle Lanley.
