Rarely Seen Gem!

Possibly the finest color cartoon Columbia ever produced! Beautiful design, an incredible music score, and a story that melts the heart. Leonard Maltin praises it in his tome "Of Mice and Magic", but it has to be seen to be fully appreciated. I'm still wondering how this missed getting the Academy award. A much stronger message film than "The Old Mill", and nearly as dazzling visually! (Wish I could post a frame grab here!)
