A boy named Bobby is not allowed to go fishing or get a sundae because his father won't let him. Bobby meets a dog and takes him to his house with him, even if he isn't allowed. When his father notices that the dog's been in the house he punishes Bobby by making him go to bed without his supper. A bunch of elves take him to some sort of magical land and the father goes on trial. The thing that's most interesting about this cartoon is hat it was made to be a commercial for a toothpaste company. I guess that's the reason the teacher and her class and Bobby were singing about massaging your gums. To me, the father looks a lot like Mr. Bang from the cartoons Toonerville Trolley, Toonerville Picnic, and Trolley Ahoy. I don't really know what I don't like about this cartoon yet, I guess it just hasn't come to me.

Worst short from Lantz

Its a shame that someone as talented as Lantz could come up with garbage like this. Dissapointment is too vague a word to describe this boring and lifeless piece of unrecycled garbage. The cartoon is mostly about a father and his misadventures in "dream land"....if that sound appealing to you..be my guest and watch this.
