As this was the first Speedy cartoon under the DePatie-Freleng banner, the production values were still fairly high (that wouldn't last long). It has a couple of good gags, and is unique in that his adversary was human. A "Mexicanized" Yosemite Sam, no less! Also had the abstract opening title and closing in white, the only one in the DFE series to do so. Enjoyable, but not classic by any means.
