Keep a little song handy

It seemed that the Fleischers produced a few of these invention show cartoons over the years. Whether there was a personal influence or not, I couldn't say, but I could probably have a guess. Nevertheless, this was a chance to see the inkwell originals in a setting that had them demonstrating all sorts of weird inventions, similar to All's Fair at the Fair in some ways. There still seems to be something between Bimbo and Betty in this too as Bimbo gets a little bashful as he and Betty escape the runaway (or is that flywaway) tent at the end. I'd hate to say that this is top class Boop, but it does have some appeal, especially as this predates the effect of the Hayes office interference that would eventually make Boop into a forgettable sidekick.
