Beep Prepared (1961) - Merrie Melodies Theatrical Cartoon Series

Wake up people! I'm not trying to be a jerk, but nobody mentioned the ending. Did you not see the 666? 6 on his helmet, and the two 6's on the rocket craft. Then, instead of going FORWARD on the tracks...he goes straight UP into the cosmos and explodes into a stellar constellation that resembles Sagittarius! And it aired on 11-11-1961. All this is an ancient prophecy that dates back farther than science has been able to figure out...and the people in Hollywood know this, and they also did back in 1961 when they made this. Think about it...the title is BEEP PREPARED. We are approaching the end of mankind, and it seems as if they believe, along with many others, that the end of mankind will be the birth of a fantastic cosmic evolution. Many people think we'll become one with the gods, and that are particles will scatter all throughout the cosmos and certain beings that were once humans will reach a higher level....Don't let government or Hollywood fool you. They know more than you think.

Academy Award nominated?

Well, I guess the answer would be to try and think of any other major cartoon in 1961 that was worthy of an Academy Award...Gene Dietch cartoon anyone? Didn't think so...
This one is standard-fare...the end of it is in twilight, in slight difference to all the rest...struggling now...

It's good as Roadrunner cartoons go, but I'm not quite sure why this particular one was nominated for an Oscar.
