Pluto learned how to "Lend a Paw"

This is is a nice short but there is something that i do not understand,if this was a Mickey Mouse short why did it have plutos theme over the main titles?the same thing happened in "Squatters Rights" and "Mickey Down Under",prehaps it was because that those cartoons focusesed mainly on pluto even though those films had Mickey in it.

One of the cutest, most touching cartoons I have ever seen!
They do a great job with facial expressions in this one, and I liked the angel/devil angle... it was a nice undertone.
I still find myself crying during the last scene, when Pluto is being warmed up, and the kitten gives him a kiss. The background music certainly doesn't help-- it's heartwarming in its own right. I'm glad this cartoon won an Academy Award.
