ONce Again, the Joke is Dragged Out

Donald wants to fly. It must have been the dream of many a serviceman.
So Donald goes up in the plane, and apparently that was all he wanted to do. He didn't want to parachute.
This then would lead to an overly drawn out joke with Donald grabbing sargeant Pete's sleeve, his shoe, the shoe comes off, Donald grabs the sock, the sock comes off, Donald grabs the foot, then the pants cuff, the pants are stretched off a great distance by the suspenders.
The joke didn't need to run for this long.
I don't know why Disney cartoons are so dragged out with such menial jokes.
