Johnny heads West with a pot for a hat, seeds in h

This beautifully animated short has you singing along as you see Johnny's vision become reality, when he realizes he can head West too, joining the flow of settlers. Encouraged by a guardian angel, and later an old settler, he understands the need for apples to be planted in the new areas of the West to provide food for those arriving later. He heads West to uncharted areas with appleseeds in a sack, his pot serving as a hat and his Bible in hand. His gentle spirit wins animals and hostile Indians over, when they understand he carries no weapon but his Bible and his only mission is planting appleseeds.
Even his old age death scene is perfect. Beautiful story of an American legend. An A+ for family and all ages. Why has it not been
re-released in theaters everywhere?
