To my mind, this is the first manifestation of Avery's genius, and how he overhauled the studio's approach to comedy.
Actually, the incidental voices are the most interesting thing here--especially the incongruous voice Billy Bletcher supplies for the simian scientist whom Porky's been hired to assist. (See if you can get Porky's REAL FULL NAME at the very beginning of the cartoon!)

To my mind, this is probably the first manifestation of Avery's genius, and how he changed the studio's whole approach to humor. Co-stars a few of Porky's old schoolchums from "I Haven't Got A Hat."
The voices add a whole lot to this cartoon--probably the most offbeat example being the simian scientist, voiced (incongruously) by Billy "Big Bad Wolf" Bletcher.
