How many?!?
I just stumbled across this entry after reviewing some of Ub Iwerks' cartoons from the 1930's. It's always difficult to say bad things about someone who was such an influence on animation (Walt who?!?) but those early jobbies that he did back then were pretty boring. Eye candy. This movie, however, was something different.
It was one of my earliest movie outings as far as animation went, and I must admit that, when I bought it on DVD a while ago, I still enjoyed it. Whilst I don't totally agree with the previous reviewers' liking for Sgt. Tibbs (he'd be nothing without the Colonel), I can certainly recommend that you ignore those live action dabblings made by a company down on its luck at the beginning of the 21st century and go watch this, offered when the Disney folk were at the top of their game. You won't be dissapointed! One Hundred and One Dalmatians
This is the original.......ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES ! ! ! ! !
Actually, my very favorite character here is Sgt. Tibbs, the cat.
