What can I say about this great work of art? This is my favorite animated film of all time. The voices, animation, script, score, songs, all work together to paint a perfect tapestry of magic, romance and terror. I've been watching this film for nearly 20 years and I still get chills when Aurora climbs the winding staircase to her doom. Maleficent is my favorite animated villain of all for the same reasons I listed above.
For me, the main reason I love this film is the use of Tchaikovsky's music for the ballet of the same name, which inspired Walt to make the film in the first place. I strongly urge any classical music fan to watch this film, then if they have an oppertunity, see the ballet. I saw it last year, and the film made me appreciate it even more, and the ballet made me appreciate the film even more.

The Best Disney Movie...ever?
Yes, in my opinion, this is the best Disney movie ever made. Being a Tchaikovsky fan, I especially love the way the lyricists were able to add lyrics to his already beautiful songs. The other reviewers were right; this movie isn't just for girls, it's for everyone. It incorporates some haunting images of Maleficent (especially the fireplace scene!), the daring escape/swordfight of prince Philip, the comedic fairy "war" in the cottage, and (of course) the beautiful and most elegant Aurora. It's also been released on DVD this past October with some new special features. Go see it for yourself!

Fantastic movie!
Some people may think this movie is for only children, female children in particular. But not true! EVERYONE will enjoy this classic film! Whatever your favorite type of movie is, this movie has it ALL: comedy, romance, suspense, mild horror, music, and non-stop action! The princess is kind, the prince is the hero, and Maleficient is lovable (just kidding). The three fairies are funny, and the blue/pink gag always makes me laugh. The blue/pink ending is one of the funniest endings to a movie. WATCH IT OR YOU WILL BE DEPRESED THAT YOU MISSED SUCH A GREAT MOVIE!
