Northwest Hounded Police (The Man Hunt) (1946) - Droopy Theatrical Cartoon Series

I love how this entire cartoon is the same gag repeated. Only Tex Avery would have the audacity to repeat a gag more than once and actually make it funny each time. Under many other directors' charge, this cartoon would have been repetative. But this is Tex were talking about. He made this work. True genius.

HOUNDED WOLF IN HILLARIOUS CHASE!

This truely the greatest MGM cartoon I can remember! It is definitely hysterically funny! No matter where the wolf goes Sgt. McPoodle of the Mounties, namely Droopy is everywhere! The wolf's cries are just too funny! I laugh at every one of them! The cries of woman's screams, to braying donkeys and horses, a lion's roar, even a train whistle, and a factory whistle can't keep from laughing! This indeed classic KEYSTONE KOPS SLAPSTICK, with the wolf reminding me of LAUREL AND HARDY! It's classic!

I've always loved the Droopy shorts. This is one of my favorites with the wolf. Mountie Droopy is on his tail wherever he goes and its driving him nuts. Tex Avery originated those wacky suprise looks that are copied to this day.
