The Little Mole (1941) Theatrical Cartoon

This cartoon was always my favorite as a child, but it was aired rarely. The story of a little mole who is warned by his mother about staying close to home. By his home is a dump that he thinks is a fairy palace because of his poor eyesight. He leaves home, is given a pair of glasses by a skunk, and little mole no longer sees his fairy palace but now sees the dump. In the end he loses his glasses and has to struggle to find his way home to his mother and his fairy palace. A wonderful morality tale for children of all ages.

Timeless Classic

I first saw this movie when i was about 6 years old. and it always stayed in my memories. I thought it was so thought provoking that when the little nearly blind mole thinks of a garbage dump as a beautiful castle until he puts on some glasses and sees it for what it really is.
