Great, catchy little tunes in this thirties classic where two kind-hearted squirrels miss out on gathering nuts for the winter while looking after a lost chick. My grandfather was a travelling projectionist in the 1940s and this was one of his personal collection, so I've seen it many times and remember it, and it's songs and excellent animation with much fondness.
