I used to work in Oakland, California. I have known many Black people and none of them acted like this. This is not a documentary - it is a cartoon and as such it is a lively one. The music is fabulous. I have it on film and have watched it for years - I never tire of it. If you cannot differentiate between real life and cartoons, then watch something else. However, "If you like boogie woogie rhythm - and you've got a beat - then the boogie woogie washerwoman gives you a treat..."

Its stereotypes should really do little to obscure the fact that here is a really fine cartoon musical......and that Walter Lantz was a top-notch director.
