Medusa And The Inhumans (1978)

The effect of the opening sequence in which we get the short version of the FF origin is hilarious as the Human Torch is replaced by . . . Herbie the Robot?? I guess the fire angle was seen as too, um, inflammatory for little kids in the 70's. Given that the FF encounter the Inumans in this episode, it sorta makes you wonder what Crystal is going to do for romance in her already secluded life if Johnny's been replaced by a 'bot. In a truly bizarre closing sequence wholly out of keeping with the rest of the show, Reed persuades the Inhumans to leave the outer world alone by tellingthem about what a polluted sinkhole of misery the world of Man is!!!! "Slums! Smog! Misery! Why leave your mountain paradise?" I'd only recommend the 'toon on a "so bad it's . . . interesting" basis.
