Don Knotts. What Else Do You Need?

So it may be Sheriff Dandy Griffith in Juneberry, the sheriff by the way bears no resemblance to Andy Griffith, but that didn't matter. Deputy Don Knotts didn't disappoint in this very limited cartoon form. Swimming, hanging from the rope in the cavern, finally being pulled up to the top by the Scooby gang, all were winners.
Even with the horrendous joke session by Fred, Velma and Daphne, Knotts got the final say in his classic delivery when the sheriff finally busted a gut with a little twitter of a laugh.
"No wonder he never laughed."
Sheriff Dandy should have watched this installment of the Scooby movies to get a good laugh. Excellent merger of classic tv character with a classic cartoon character.
