The comic strip was without question one of the most unique cartoon experiences of my youth. It was one thing to enjoy a good cartoon in the golden mid-late eighties cartoon era, but to have four pretty well animated, very funny, and very entertaining shows in the same place, was something my brother and I would savor morning after morning during our bowl of cereal or eggos. At that time, cartoons often had a very similar bad guy shows up, beat the bad guy, change the setting but not really the plot kind of theme. The comic strip offered it's versatility and unique stature through an incredible group of heroes and action with the tiger-sharks, a humorous and hip bunch with the street frogs, fun and adventure through the very light-hearted clumsiness of karate kat, and an incredibly warm, easy to relate to for kids, summer of fun and companionship with my personal favorite... the mini monsters. Kind of gave me that "Wonder Years" feeling if you know what I mean.
In short, the comic strip was a huge hit for me and my bro before school. I always wished for more episodes and better popularity with the series as it seemed to apparently disappear all of a sudden. If you ever get a chance to see it, first let me know where you you found it, and then try to enjoy it yourself like we did over 15 years ago.
